A high performing team

Unfortunately it is not very common for people to partake in a well-performing team during their careers. Many groups never get to that stage of their group process, but end up at a less developed level. Some groups never get beyond the first stage, where belonging and safety is so important that the group members don’t want to stand out, don’t make their opinions heard or feel like they can show their true self, as a consequence of the fear not to be welcomed and not to belong.

On the other hand, there are many things a group can do in order to progress in its development! Elizabeth works with coaching groups who want to aim higher, or groups that are full of misunderstandings and conflicts.

There is help to get no matter what your group needs.

  • Coaching
  • Conflict management for groups

Coaching

There are times when a group may need support to find a way to work together. This could be in a situation when a completely new group needs to set up a new way of working together as quickly as possible, or a group that has worked together for a long time but needs to restructure their relationships and communication, to organise mutual tasks and increase the overall efficiency and performance together.

Elizabeth works with coaching of all kinds of groups, from small groups of a couple of people to bigger groups including 12-15 people, within all the different industries of society.

The coaching will help the group to:

  • Develop their communicative skills to have better and simpler relationships
  • Increase the self-awareness among all members
  • Learn conflict management, group dynamics, and how individual behaviours can make an impact on the entire group
  • Learn to use feedback in the everyday work
  • Become more efficient together
  • Use the variety of resources within the group in the best way possible
  • Understand the similarities and differences within the group
  • Gain time and space for reflection, individually and collectively
  • Get to know each other better to cooperate efficiently and with greater focus
  • Pedagogical support during the development process

Chrisis management for groups

There is always the risk that something could go wrong in a group that is under much pressure, which could leave the personnel in shock, and in need of crisis management. It could be an emergency at the workplace, the loss of a colleague or another urgent situation where help is necessary to mitigate the crisis. The first few hours are vital for the crisis management to succeed.
Sometimes only the management team is in need for support, and sometimes the entire group of staff needs help to get through the crisis. The same goes for smaller companies with fewer co-workers. A small group may also be even more vulnerable in times of crisis.

Crisis management involves frequent sessions of counselling. There may be more counselling sessions in the first stage of the crisis, which will decrease as time passes. The period of crisis management lasts for as long as you and Elizabeth find necessary.
